Small but elegant party favors are cheap yet effective way to add glitz and glamour to a wedding. Not only do they dress up a party, but guests will also remember your special day when they bring one home with them.

There are many cheap but elegant party favors available nowadays to fit different wedding themes, so finding one won’t be so difficult. But you can also make them yourself. There are so many blog sites that promote self made favors. Some even use recycled materials which makes it more cheaper. Examples are candies wrapped in colored tissue paper or place cards with stamps.

wedding accessories

When I got married three years ago, I told my wedding planner I was on a tight budget. I made a list of wedding accessories I was willing to scrimp on as well as other wedding matters I would splurge on. However, coming from an advertising background and having worked with some of the best creative people in the industry, I realized I had to pay attention to the small details to achieve my dream wedding. As the wedding date got closer and closer, I became obsessed with finding tasteful yet affordable wedding accessories to match my simple wedding gown. I decided then that my accessories needed the same amount of attention as the cake, the gown, the food, and the photographer.

My choice of shoes were crucial, I wanted something simple, elegant, and comfortable for me to dance to all night long. The jewelry I chose to wear was modern and simple so as not to draw attention from my vintage inspired gown. Other wedding accessories included monogrammed table napkins with our initials, guest name cards and favors. The invitations were given much attention as well. Our burgundy motif was evident in the choice of color, flowers and décor. All in all, a wedding is best enjoyed when it is made your own.

bridal handkerchief

A bride should definitely not use tissue paper when she walks down the aisle. Her cute embroidered pouch that matches her bridal gown should contain a bridal handkerchief. There are cute ones with intricate embroidery that compliments the color theme of the wedding. Others have cut out designs. These hankies are not just for show. She will need it to wipe away a few tears – her own or that of the groom.

The bridal handkerchief will of course be kept as a souvenir together with the bridal dress, the pouch and the rest of the bridal paraphernalia. Make sure it is clean before storing it in a box or garment bag. For sure there will be stains from the wayward wedding cake crumb or the wet grass where you posed for a bridal picture. unity candles

Weddings are quite elaborate celebrations that use different items to complete the ceremony. The lighting of the unity candle is one of the most important ceremonies done during the wedding. The couple can choose the unity candle that will be used during the ceremony.
