The wedding cake is the center of attention in a wedding reception. A tiered wedding cake of reasonable height will be the first thing guests will see as they enter the reception room. This is why bakers of wedding cakes take the extra effort to make attractive designs and draw attention to it with unique cake toppers. It is a common belief that pearls are unlucky. Many believe that brides should never wear pearls on her wedding day as it is unlucky. Others are more indulgent by saying that not all pearls are unlucky if worn as wedding jewelry; only the tear shaped ones as they connote sadness. Others will counter this by saying that if ever there are tears they are tears of joy.

It is really a shame because pearls are just the perfect jewelry to wear on your wedding. They perfectly compliment the usual white or off-white wedding dress. A pair of pearl earrings will light up the bride’s face more than any other stone would. However, we cannot fault brides-to-be if they shun the pearl. After all, who will want to start an important phase in one’s life with an unlucky streak?

Then there are veils that cover the brides face until her neck. The medium veil reaches the brides shoulders. The long veils can reach until the bride’s waist or hips. The cathedral veil can cover the bride all the way until the floor.

fall wedding favors

It is not a surprise that fall weddings are popular. The weather is just right – not too hot with just a bit of nippiness in the air. Multicolor naturally decorates the outdoors. In earlier times, it was the time when harvest chores have just been finished and the barn was full of supplies for the winter. It was deemed the right time to get married.

Fall weddings were closely related to nature; and fall wedding favors followed suit. Colors are the beautiful palette of reds, oranges and golds. A box of chocolates with a beautiful fall leaf accent will fit in nicely with the autumn theme. So will luminous mini lanterns reminiscent of farm lamps. They will look very pretty all lighted up and scattered around the room.
