You’re wedding will take place a few days from now. You are having mix of emotions. You are happy that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with the person you love. But you are also scared of what is in store for you. Will you and your future husband get along ling your mom and dad who are still married after 25 years?

These are your worries when you and your girl friends got together for a small party before the ceremony. They assure that it is perfectly normal to feel that way. Everybody has second thoughts when they are about to wed. With that, you feel somewhat okay. And as you give them their wedding shower favors, you realize how lucky you are to have your friends.

Favors Should Fit The Theme Of The Wedding

March 18th, 2010 | By WeddingPlanner77

Wedding favors should be chosen with care. They have to complement the theme of the wedding. Think of colors, images and items that are closely associated with the theme of the wedding. A fall wedding will connote blazing colors of reds, oranges and greens. Brown is also a color of autumn. Use them in the linen and candleholders. They will be a fitting backdrop for the fiery colors of autumn leaves.

Some ideas for fall wedding favors will include leaf shaped chocolates in the autumn colors. Another way of presenting chocolates as a wedding favor is to stuff them into small brown boxes and tie then up with gold ribbons. You can also create autumn inspired candle holders. They can double as guest cards. Some fall wedding favors you can make yourself if you are a little savvy in the kitchen. You can bake mini cakes with the leaf motif.

Saying “Thank You”

January 17th, 2008 | By mariposa

One way of saying “thank you” after your wedding is through the wedding toasts that are performed during the reception. The best man will give a toast and he offers it to the bride. The maid of honor will give a toast to the groom and the father of the bride will make a toast to the newly-weds.

The couple, in turn, will have the opportunity to be the ones to say “thank you” in what is called the “return toast”. Since the groom and the bride are not allowed to initiate a toast in their honor, the return toast enables them to offer a toast to those people whom they would like to thank such as the parents of either the groom or the bride or both, the wedding entourage and even to all the guests who witnesses their formal entry into the life of a married couple. The wedding toast is done with gorgeous glasses hand picked buy the bride and groom.

Make your Favors the Centerpiece

January 2nd, 2008 | By mariposa

One great way to save money on your big day is to combine your centerpieces with your party favors. Centerpieces are a main part of your decorations and can have all sorts of functions. From the traditional arrangement of flowers, to a more personal choice to wishing wells surrounded by pens for guests to make well wishes to you, to a way to entertain children, centerpieces make a statement about your wedding and can make you and your guests enjoy the day more.

Give your centerpieces a little bit of thought and planning. You don’t want the flowers wilting or chocolate melting. I once even heard a horror story of someone who decided to combine votive candles under a tiny goldfish bowl-you can just imagine how that turned out.
